Hehehe...2 days until Lost!  Mmmm....Jack.

I love Tim Burton.  I think he's a genius.  But I found out two days ago that yes, it is possible for him to make a BAD movie.  I've been working my way through his catalogue (I only had two left), so I borrowed Planet of the Apes from my brother and oh.my.god.   It's not all, or maybe even mostly,  his fault as the script was horrible what with that crappy ending and the love triangle with the human man and woman and the ape chick (um, ew!), but seriously, it makes me question his judgment.  And anything that could pull those tragic performances out of Mark Wahlberg and Helena Bonham Carter--two usually talented actors--has to be unspeakably bad.  The only good thing? Tim Roth, a guy I haven't heard of before or since, turned down the part of Snape to be in this movie.  Alan Rickman ftw!

I've also come to the conclusion that Roux, not Captain Jack Sparrow, is Johnny's sexiest character.  I mean, he comes back for the girl, makes no references to syphilis, and that whole "I'll come 'round sometime and get that squeak out your door" makes me giggle in a ridiculous schoolgirl fashion.  Every Time.
