Eh, you know, stuff

I saw a shooting star for the first time last night. It was pretty cool. And my mom found TWO pennies in the elevator. Coincidence? I think not. Especially since the number of street lights I have knocked out or turned on in the last two days is somewhere in the neighborhood of a dozen.

I had a dream about this icon last night. That has also never happened to me before. Mainly it consisted of what occurred before this scene--Pete was alive/in an egg/whatever and the other chicken saw it break then came upon this cooked egg later. It made me kinda sad and the icon not as funny, which also made me sad because I really like this one.

And, here's some pictures of my crazy nephew at Zoo Lights. He was a little stunned by the tiger and some crazy anteater-type animal that lived in the hippo house, and he was apparently fond of the cape buffalo because he wanted to climb in with them.

It was fun while it lasted...

but I believe the season is officially "over" now.  I think basically everyone (except those that are naive and/or stupid) knew that it was gonna be a whoopin' tonight, and it totally was.  The game actually went better than I expected with that stellar third quarter, but still...not so much with the good.  I suppose it could be worse, however;  I could have been cheering for Indianapolis or Dallas--teams that got equally stomped and don't have the excuse of a rookie quarterback.  So, you know, I guess I'll spend the rest of the season trying not to hate Cutler since I'll probably love him later after he gets good and starts winning and just be grateful that San Diego won the division instead of stupid Kansas City or stupider Oakland.

ETA: I forgot to complain last night about the officiating.  Seriously, what morons (or Chargers fans) were on the field yesterday?!  They manage to spot Tatum Bell stepping out of bounds on a (later-determined) 51-yard run, but miss calling offensive pass interference in the inzone for Lynch (which should have taken away a touchdown) and defensive pass interference near the sideline for Smith.  They also called a 5-yard face mask for Smith when it absolutely should have been a personal foul, and gave LT a rushing touchdown when the ball clearly didn't cross the plane.  The Broncos were plenty capable of losing all by themselves; they didn't the officiating crew helping out.  Kinda like the Steelers getting some "help" in the Super Bowl...

Oh, and watching my nephew eat chips and dip is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.  That kid cracks me up...when he's not getting into trouble.
